Spatio-temporal Filtering for Moving Objects Tracking

چکیده
Motion eld segmentation is an important stage in a real-time object tracking. The multi-point optical ow approach is a means to achieve this, but the approach is limited by uncertainty. This paper presents a motion eld segmentation scheme which incorporates the multiresolution clustering and the multi-point method to overcome the uncertainty. This scheme produces a multireso-lution segmentation map, where the central region of a physical object is represented using coarse resolutions so as to achieve a better estimation of the optical ow, and the border region is represented using ne resolutions so as to achieve a better estimation of the object boundaries .

A PRACTICAL APPROACH TO REAL-TIME DYNAMIC BACKGROUND GENERATION BASED ON A TEMPORAL MEDIAN FILTER
In many computer vision applications, segmenting and extraction of moving objects in video sequences is an essential task. Background subtraction, by which each input image is subtracted from the reference image, has often been used for this purpose. In this paper, we offer a novel background-subtraction technique for real-time dynamic background generation using color images that are taken fro...

An automatic technique for detecting and tracking the objects forming the scene is presented. No a priori information nor constraints about the scene content are required. In particular, no assumption is made about a static background or a predefined number of objects in the scene. Any class of sequences can thus be analyzed by the proposed technique. The object detection procedure relies on a ...
متن کاملSegmentation of vehicles and pedestrians in traffic scene by spatio-temporal Markov random field model
For a long period, object tracking in images has suffered from occlusion problem. In order to resolve occlusion problems, we proposed the Spatio-Temporal Markov Random Field model for segmentation of spatio-temporal images in 2000. This S-T MRF optimizes the segmentation boundaries of occluded objects and their motion vectors simultaneously, by referring to textures and segment labeling correla...

1. MOTIVATION With rapid advancements in computing hardware, tracking devices such as GPS receivers and sensors have become pervasive, generating a large amount of spatio-temporal data, such as measurements of temperature, pressure, air quality, traffic, etc. using sensors, GPS data from mobile phones and data from radars that capture location information about people and other moving objects s...
متن کاملSCUBA: Scalable Cluster-Based Algorithm for Evaluating Continuous Spatio-temporal Queries on Moving Objects
In this paper, we propose, SCUBA, a Scalable Cluster Based Algorithm for evaluating a large set of continuous queries over spatiotemporal data streams. The key idea of SCUBA is to group moving objects and queries based on common spatio-temporal properties at runtime into moving clusters to optimize query execution and thus facilitate scalability. SCUBA exploits shared cluster-based execution by...
متن کاملA Novel Method for Tracking Moving Objects using Block-Based Similarity
Extracting and tracking active objects are two major issues in surveillance and monitoring applications such as nuclear reactors, mine security, and traffic controllers. In this paper, a block-based similarity algorithm is proposed in order to detect and track objects in the successive frames. We define similarity and cost functions based on the features of the blocks, leading to less computati...
